The Rainbow Springs is located in Dunnellon, Florida west of Ocala about 20 miles. It sits on 1400-plus acres of land and the Springs produce between 400 to 600 million gallons of water daily. Rainbow Springs is a first-magnitude spring and the river is around 6 miles long of pure crystal clear waters. You can swim, snorkel, and kayak along the river. They are strict about the things you can bring along with you, no snacks wrapped in plastic, you must bring your own reusable container. No alcohol is allowed either. There are plenty of walking paths and you can camp at the state park, there are RV hookups, showers, and restrooms.

Juniper Springs

You also have other springs nearby such as Silver Glen Springs, Salt Springs, and Alexander Springs. There is camping for RV users and primitive camping for those with just tents. Juniper Springs is located around an hour and 20 minutes north of Orlando Florida.

Blue Spring State Park

Blue Spring State Park is located in Orange City, Florida, and the park is known for its abundant wildlife and manatees. Since 1970 they have been keeping track of the manatees and protecting them from humans, the numbers have gone up a lot today. You can also visit these springs to have a chance to see the manatees and kayak up and down the river. Blue Spring State Park is only about 30 miles away from Daytona Beach making it convenient to visit these springs from Daytona.
